GET ACTIVE WITH A ST. PATRICK’S DAY RUN

If you and your pup enjoy getting outside, consider signing up for a St. Patrick’s Day run. The Runnin’ of the Green is happening on March 9th at Wash Park, and it features both a Lucky 7K and a 2-Mile Leprechaun Leap.

The event is dog-friendly—as long as your pup is well-mannered and leashed, they’re welcome to join in on the fun! Bib pickups start at 8:30 am.

For a more relaxed celebration, check out the Denver St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 15th at 9:30 am. This is one of the most popular events in the city, featuring music, floats, and even a category for animals! If your dog loves attention and crowds, this could be a fun outing.

ST. PATRICK’S DAY TREATS FOR DOGS

I’ve scouted out some of the best dog-friendly St. Patrick’s Day recipes, and this collection has something for every pup! A few standouts include:

  • Top ‘o the Mornin’ Potato Hash for Pups
  • Irish Oatmeal Cookie Dog Treats
  • Dog-Friendly Shepherd’s Pie
  • Shamrock “Shake Your Tail” Smoothie for Dogs

The oatmeal cookies look like the easiest option—they only require three ingredients: oatmeal, unsweetened applesauce, and cinnamon. I love a simple recipe, so I’ll definitely be making these!

I’m also thinking about trying the Shepherd’s Pie for my dogs. I already have most of the ingredients, and it seems like a fun and festive way to celebrate the holiday.

HOW WILL YOU CELEBRATE?

I’d love to hear how you and your pup are celebrating this St. Patrick’s Day! Are you baking treats, heading to an event, or dressing up your dog? Let me know in the comments or send me a quick note!
