Friday, June 27th is National Take Your Dog to Work Day, and I can’t think of a better excuse to celebrate the joy dogs bring to our everyday lives—including at the office.

A while back, I spent an afternoon at Park Coworking in Denver, a dog-friendly space where members are actually encouraged to bring their pups. I set up mini headshot sessions, and it was such so much fun! Each person had a 15-minute time slot and received at least 20 proofs to review in a private gallery afterward.

Naturally, many chose to include their dogs in their headshots—and honestly, those turned out to be my favorite images. There’s something magical about how dogs bring out the best in us. The smiles were more relaxed, the energy was light and fun, and the connection between people and their pups made every image feel so genuine.

One of my highlights from the day was meeting Jax, the unofficial office dog. He belongs to Katie, the Regional Director of Operations, but he roams the halls like he’s on a mission to spread good vibes. Katie even organized a little Dog Yappy Hour on the rooftop, complete with toys and treats for the pups. It was the perfect end to a really joyful day.
