Sessions are relaxed and fun. There’s no need to worry about your dog 'behaving'. Great images can be taken in fractions of a second because I have a fast lens. No commands like ‘sit’ or ‘stay’ are required. I've worked with dogs of all personality types.

We'll do a quick call to talk about your dog, what type of images you would like, and things that are important for your session. I can answer any questions that you may have. Sessions can usually be scheduled within two weeks if desired.

Can my dog stay on a leash?
Yes! Most of the dogs in my portfolio galleries WERE on leashes. My professional editing skills give me the ability to remove distracting background objects and leashes where it makes sense.
does my dog need to know commands like 'sit' or 'stay'?
No commands needed — dogs exploring and spending time with you make great portraits! Your dog can simply be a dog.
Can harnesses or gentle leaders be edited out?
Editing software does have limitations. Bulky harnesses hide so much of the dog’s chest that it’s difficult to accurately rebuild those pixels during the editing process. Gentle leaders can leave shadows or pull on the dog’s skin, so those are also a challenge to remove. If your dog normally wears one of these for walks, I recommend using it while walking to our location, but also bringing a flat collar to use for the actual shoot.
What if it’s raining or very windy?
If the weather is less than ideal, we can definitely reschedule. We may even decide on the day of your session a few hours before. Your session fee simply transfers over to our new session date.
what if my dog is reactive?
We''ll choose a location that suits his or her temperament. I have a few out-of-the-way locations where there won’t be many dogs or people. Another good option is to have your session on a weekday which minimizes the possibility of others around.
